Step 4

This is the step where you will start removing quite a bit of the stone from the pipe blank. Using the rough side of the file, "knock off" all the corners on the pipe. On the top photo, you can see that I've taken 2 of the "corners" of the pipe bowl off with the file. You will want to do this to all parts of the pipe, so that when you're finished, your pipe blank will look like the photo's below.
