The total length of this Native American ceremonial black bear pipe is 16- 3/4". The bowl itself is 4-1/8" long and is 2-3/8" tall. The pipe is made out of a type of stone similar to Steatite or Black Pipestone. It's a relatively new material that we've been working with & we're exceptionally pleased with the way the finished product has turned out.

The stone has no hard spots or color variations in it at all. The pipe is completely black, very smooth and carveable. The stone allowed us to put exceptional detail into the pipe. The ears, nose, mouth, and tail are all clearly visible on it.

This Pipe would make a great ceremonial Pipe or personal pipe for prayer. It is crafted by Hapan. The stem has excellent draw and the bowl is drilled out to allow for plenty of tobacco if the buyer intends to use it for ceremony. I could easily envision this pipe being gifted to a person who feels a special connection with the bear, and will be going up on the hill for the first time next year.

This pipe is signed by Hapan. The stem is made out of hardwood ash. It is decorated with 16 antique brass tacks. The wood was treated in a special way to give it the appearance of an "old" stem.

If this pipe interests you or you would like to purchase it, and you have any questions you'd like answered before you do that, please email or call us. We try very hard to respond to all inquiries in a very timely manner.
