The total length of this large ceremonial Bear Effigy Pipe is 24" long. It is made out of Sacred Catlinite, which is commonly referred to, by many people, as Pipestone. Catlinite has been used for centuries by Native Americans to make important ceremonial pipes and other items. It is a red stone that is believed to have originated from the blood of Native American ancestors.
The pipe bowl measures 6-1/2" long and it is 3-1/2" tall. As you can see on the photo's it is nice and dark red on one side of it, while the other side has a very attractive lighter color over part of it.
This Pipe will make a great ceremonial Pipe for someone. It is another one-of-
a-kind piece crafted by Hapan. The stem has excellent draw and the bowl is drilled out to allow for plenty of tobacco. This would make a great gift to a person who feels a special connection with the bear.
This pipe is signed by Hapan. The stem is made out of California Redwood. It is decorated with leather fringes and traditional Sioux beadwork.
