catlinite Make A Native American Ceremonial Pipe - Want to Make Your Own Catlinite/Pipestone or Steatite Ceremonial Peace Pipe?
25 #'s of Carving Stone Pieces

This item consists of app 25 pounds of smaller pieces of stone that are left over after cutting out ceremonial pipes or other items. I would estimate that in most of these boxes, there will be about 50% of the stone that comes from the Sacred Quarries at the Pipestone National Monument in Pipestone, MN where it was quarried by hand the same as it has been for 100's of years. The other 50% will come from various locations in the world. There could be some pieces of steatite, transluscent alabaster from Italy, non-transluscent alabaster from the U.S., as well as lots of Sacred catlinite. I have seen as many as 8 or 9 different types of stone in boxes and I've seen boxes that are 100% Sacred Catlinite.

The pieces of stone that are offered here are completely random and it seems that every one of the boxes has something in it that the buyer will pick up and notice that it's very unique or cool and you may wonder why it's in there in the first place. Included in all of our boxes like this are quite a few samples of the very highly sought after spotted catlinite. That's not done purposely, but it just works out that way, because a lot of the stone we work with is from the "spotted quarry".

In your box you will find many pieces of stone that would be ideal for making beads, earrings, necklaces, or other smaller items. You will also find for sure some pieces that will work great for small personal pipes. You will also find some great pipe or effigy patterns. (these come from us cutting off 1/4" or so occasionally from the pipe we're working on, if it's a little too thick in our opinion) These could either be used for patterns or they could be cut up and made into some nice smaller crafts. You may even find a pipe that happened to break in the carving process.

There is enough stone in each box to easily keep someone busy for months and you will find that it is a joy to work with such high quality carveable catlinite. The possibilities are endless with a box of stone like this. It may be difficult to see on the photo, but there is a lot of stone here to work with. This offer presents a good opportunity for someone to buy some of the highest quality catlinite available in the world at an outstanding price.

We guarantee that your box will at least contain 25 pounds of raw material. We stuff as much as we can into each box so there is no wasted space.

Shipping for this item is $14 to anywhere in the continental U.S.
Because this box will be jam-packed with stone, this is the only item on our website that we cannot combine shipping costs with another item, to save you money. We are more than willing to do that on multiple purchases normally. It just doesn't work with this item though. :)
