catlinite Make A Native American Ceremonial Pipe - Want to Make Your Own Catlinite/Pipestone or Steatite Ceremonial Peace Pipe?

This is another very nice triangular piece of black pipestone or steatite! It's a pretty good sized piece. The 3 sides of it measure app. 7-1/2" x 7-1/2" x 9" and it is 1-3/4" thick. This is a type of stone where the finished product will turn nice and black after beeswax is applied to it.

This piece of stone is large enough to get several nice-sized ceremonial pipes out of, as well as a few smaller ones, or it could be used for multiple medium sized ceremonial pipes.

This type of stone has been carved into pipes by Native Americans for literally 1000's of years. It holds up exceptionally well to intense heat. Steatite carves the best using a farrier's rasp and/or other wood carving files.

This type of stone will be very nice to work with. There are not any pyrites or hard little areas in this stone.

If you have a specific size piece of steatite in mind you can also Contact Us and we will gladly see if we have something on hand that will work for you. We might also be able to cut a piece to your exact specs...

Shipping for this item to anywhere in the continental U.S. is $17.00
