4-Winds Traditional 4-Winds Pipes (T-pipes)
20" Steatite/Black Pipestone 4-Winds Pipe w/ Ash Stem
$100.00

The total length of this steatite or black pipestone pipe is 20-1/4" long. The stone used for this pipe is a type of material that has been used for 1000's of years by Native Americans for ceremonial pipes.

The 4-winds bowl measures app. 4-7/8" long and it is 2-3/4" tall. This is a traditional 4-winds pipe. On the back side of this pipe, there is a very unique line running through the bottom of this pipe. In our opinion, it enhances the beauty of the pipe. You can be certain it is a one-of-a-kind ceremonial pipe.

The rings and designs on this pipe were put on the pipe bowl after the pipe had been waxed. That allows you to see the natural color of the stone before it's waxed and it provides for a nice contrast in the piece. Several days after waxing this pipe bowl, we noticed that a little of the 'dark black' color had started to fade. We kind of liked the way it looked, so we decided to leave it that way. You may be able to see this on the photo. It gives the pipe kind of an 'old' look. If you decide you want to purchase this pipe & would like us to rewax it, we'd be happy to do that for you.

The pipe is signed by "Hapan". The stem is made out of Hardwood Ash. It is decorated with deer leather fringes and beaded in traditional Sioux style using the 4- direction colors. We like to do that on some of our 4-winds pipe bowls.

The pipe is fully functional, will smoke great, and will make a great ceremonial pipe for someone.

If you are interested in this piece, and have any questions, or would like to see additional photo's before purchasing, please email us or give us a call.

Shipping for this item is $10.00 to anywhere in the continental U.S.
