| 31-1/2" Black Pipestone 4-Winds Pipe w/ Ash Stem |
The total length of this pipe is 31-1/2" long. The large Steatite (commonly called Black Pipestone) ceremonial bowl measures 7-1/8" long and it is 4-1/4" tall. This is a traditional 4-Winds style pipe with a square shank where the stem goes in.
As you can see, the rings were put on the pipe after the pipe was waxed. This allows you to see the natural color of the stone, and we think it also enhances the overall look of the pipe.
This Pipe would make a great ceremonial Pipe for someone or it would make a great "people's" pipe at this years Sundance. The stem has excellent draw and the bowl is drilled out to allow plenty of room to pack tobacco into it if the buyer intends to use it for ceremony.
This pipe is signed by Hapan. The stem is made out of Hardwood Ash. It is decorated with traditional Sioux beadwork (using the 4-direction colors) and some nice, soft, deer leather fringes.
If you are interested in this ceremonial pipe, or have any questions about it, and would like to see additional pictures, for ex: the other side of the pipe, a close-up of the beadwork, etc..., please email us or give us a call.
Shipping for this item to anywhere in the continental U.S. is $11.00.
