Native American Crafts & Trade Items

This is part of a collection of points we acquired in the fall of '04.

This is a Large Clovis Point made from a burnt orange colored piece of chert or flint. It's good sized and measures 4" long and it's 1-3/4" wide at the widest point. It appears to be about 1/2" at the thickest point.

The point was made by Dalana Utana. A master craftsman of Cherokee origin who uses primitive tools to make his crafts the same way that they would've been done 1000's of years ago by early Native Americans.
