Native American Ceremonial Plains Pipes

Plains, T, Pipe Native American Ceremonial Plains Pipes - Native American Ceremonial Plains Pipes
15-3/8" 1800's Style Plains Pipe
$80.00

The total length of this pipe is 15-1/2" long. The Catlinite (commonly called Pipestone) bowl measures 4" long and it is 2-1/2" tall. This is traditional plains style pipe, much like the ones that have been used for 100's of years.

In fact, this pipe is fashioned after one I saw that had been made in the late 1800's. As you can see, if you enlarge the picture, the front of the pipe is 6-sided. I was told that it represents the 4 directions, mother earth, & father sky.
The stem is made out of California Redwood and is also shaped like a late 1800's type of stem. It's in a diamond shape. (also 6-sided) It's decorated with a simple feather drop.

The pipe is a hand-crafted piece, made out of a very beautiful and unique piece of Sacred Pipestone. It's mostly a dark red, however there is one area on the side that's pictured that has some very unique markings. The other side of the pipe has a lighter area than the rest of the pipe and it also has some spots or "stars" on this side of the pipe. It's very unique and very attractive. Please feel free to email us if you'd like to see a picture of the other side of the pipe.

This Pipe would make a great ceremonial Pipe or personal pipe for prayer. The stem has good draw and the bowl is drilled out to allow plenty of room to pack it, if the buyer intends to use it for ceremony. The overall size of the pipe and stem would allow it to be comfortably used as either a personal pipe or ceremonial pipe. It's not "too big" and it's not "too small".

If you are interested in this pipe, or have any questions about it, and would like to see additional pictures, for ex: a close-up of the front of the pipe bowl, etc... please email us or give us a call.

Shipping for this item is $10.00 to anywhere in the continental U.S.
