This is a 1st edition, new book, written and signed by the author
Lar Hothem. The name of the book is
"Collector's Guide to Indian Pipes" "Identification and Values". It is an 11" x 8-1/2" book. This book is out of print and has become highly collectible. It has become increasingly difficult to find and purchase a used copy of this book, let alone a new and signed copy like this one. I have never seen one available for purchase (other than the ones we sell) that has been signed personally by Mr. Hothem.
The book is 299 pages PACKED with great color photographs of authentic pipes. It is also packed with some of the most reliable information available on past and present pipes and their values. The contents of the book include a section complete with great pictures on each of the following:

Learning More About Pipes
This book is mentioned often where authentic Peace Pipes are sold. It is referenced to habitually by collectors and by artists. If you are a collector or an artist once you have this book, you will wonder how you got along without it before.
If you look at our
Ceremonial Pipes, occasionally you will be able to find one or more available for purchase that has been crafted in the same shape and fashion that some of the pipes in the book are. They will look virtually the same with the exception of a little color variation in the stone.
