Catlinite 4-Winds Pipe w/ Pipestone Stem!

The total length of this amazing catlinite pipe/stem combination is just a hair under 16-3/4" long. Sacred Catlinite or Pipestone as it is commonly referred to is a type of stone that has been used for ceremonial pipes for 100's of years.

This ceremonial 4-winds bowl measures 4-1/16" long and it is 2-1/4" tall. This is a traditional 4-winds pipe. This is a variation of the 4-winds style of pipe that we often do. This pipe has a "square shank" where the stem is inserted. This is something that was commonly done by pipemakers in years past and I believe it probably was done, just to enhance the look of the pipe. We also added some designs to the square part of the pipe to further enhance the beauty of it.
